An ideal visit if you enjoy educational, interactive and accessible experiences, and if you want to enjoy an intelligent and friendly moment of discovery during a weekend or a stay in Brussels, with family, friends or curious young visitors.
In the heart of the European Quarter of Brussels, at the Schuman roundabout, Experience Europe offers a surprisingly simple and engaging way to better understand the European Union. There are no rigid speeches or austere information panels here. Instead, this permanent exhibition — free of charge and open seven days a week — invites visitors to discover Europe in a playful, interactive and highly accessible environment.
From the moment you step inside, the tone is set. Experience Europe immerses visitors in an active exploration of how the European Union works: its role, priorities, policies and the values that underpin it. Thanks to interactive installations, games and modern technologies, the information becomes lively and easy to understand, even for those who think that Europe is complicated .
The content is presented in seven languages, with elements accessible in 24 languages, allowing everyone to explore the information at their own pace. Each section addresses different themes, illustrated through testimonies and real-life scenarios.
The experience particularly appeals to young visitors, with dedicated activities encouraging discussion, reflection and debate about Europe. Teachers often see it as an outstanding educational tool: some return every year with their students, convinced by the richness of the content and the interactive approach.
Virtual reality headsets, touchscreens and participatory modules stimulate curiosity and encourage conversation. Visitors often find themselves learning without even noticing it, in a relaxed atmosphere filled with moments of discovery and shared experiences.
Visitors frequently highlight the quality of the welcome and the helpfulness of the staff, always ready to guide, explain and engage in conversation. The experience is often described as informal, entertaining and enriching, whether you come alone, with friends, with family or as part of a school group.
From the exhibition spaces, the view over the European Quarter serves as a reminder that the institutions are not abstract concepts: they are right there, just steps away, embedded in the city and in everyday life.
Experience Europe is not only a place for information, but also a space that encourages visitors to exchange ideas, compare viewpoints and better understand today’s European challenges. Many visitors leave with the feeling that they have not only learned something new, but truly gained a deeper understanding.
