A delightful outing for all the family at the Grotte de Comblain!
A natural jewel in the Ourthe Valley, the Comblain Grotto is awe-inspiring with its impressive concretions.
The guide will take you on a wonderful journey underground, where passion, respect and discovery are revealed throughout the rooms and galleries.
Thanks to dynamic educational models in the reception building, the formation of the caves is no longer a secret to young and old alike.
The guide explains :
- the formation of limestone at the bottom of the sea
- the movements of the continents and the appearance of fissures,
- the work of water and the slow dissolution of limestone,
- the creation of stalagmites, stalactites and other colourful draperies.

From 14/02 to 01/03 and from 17/10 to 08/11 : every day. Activities at 11.00, 13.00, 15.00. • From 01/07 to 31/08: every day. Activities at 11.00, 13.00, 14.30, 16.00 • Booking recommended. • Ticket office open from 10.30 to 16.30.

Psst... Hier schläft jemand!
Während des Winters ziehen sich die Fledermäuse in die Grotte von Comblain zurück. Drei Säle dienen hier als Winterschlafherberge für die Fledermäuse und sind deshalb nicht zugänglich, um die Ruhe dieser kleinen mysteriösen Tiere zu gewährleisten.
Um die Ruhe der Bewohner zu respektieren, werden stille Besuche organisiert. Pantomime, Spiele, Illustrationen und Inszenierungen ermöglichen es dem Guide, dir die Geheimnisse der unterirdischen Welt und des Winterschlafs der Fledermäuse zu enthüllen.
