Doudou Museum
Bringing together objects from the Mons municipal museums, shouldered by digital technology, this museum invites visitors to discover the "Ducasse de Mons" festival - commonly known as the "Doudou" (cuddly toy) festival -, ranked a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage event since 2005.
This exceptional heritage event aptly illustrates the enthusiasm and dedication of the hundreds of people that labour all year round to perpetuate this tradition and hand it down to future generations.
Throwing bridges between reality and fantasy, the museum is also committed to promoting understanding and awareness of the various aspects of this universal, age-old custom.
