A fun, tasty and immersive trip into the world of cocoa and chocolate!

Pass through a Mayan temple, where cocoa beans were consumed over 5,000 years ago; board the Cortes ship that brought cocoa beans to Europe; discover how chocolate was consumed at the French Court in the 17th century, and how it was made into ‘Praline’ in Belgium in the early 20th century.

More than 600 objects related to cocoa and chocolate are on display. Some of these are unique, such as a mortar dating back to 3500 BC, which bears witness to the first use of cocoa, and old chocolate bar dispensers from the early 20th century.

The tour ends with a demonstration of how the famous Belgian pralines are made by hand. There are also a number of tasting sessions along the way.
There are interactive terminals for younger visitors, and an audio guide is included.
