TreM.a - Museum of Ancient Arts of Namur
Set inside an 18th-century bourgeois mansion house, well hidden behind its stucco facade listed as part of Wallonia’s Exceptional Heritage, the « Hôtel de Gaiffier d’Hestroy » offers a myriad of treasures from the Middle Ages and Renaissance Period.
Among the masterpieces on show, the oldest of which date back to the 12th century, you will discover the Treasure of Oignies, one of the 7 wonders of Belgium, sculptures by Maître de Waha and paintings by Henri Bles representing the Meuse valley
The TreM.a produces numerous publications including visitor guides and playful exploratory guides (free for youngsters 4-6 years and 7-12 years).
Guided tours and activities are organised for groups, individuals, families and schools. Children can also celebrate their birthday at the museum!
