The EMA (Espace Muséal d'Andenne) brings together Andenne's carefully selected archaeological, historical, folkloric and artistic treasures in the Phare, the town's cultural and tourist centre, and integrates them into an original, contemporary scenography. It offers visitors a modern, dynamic 21st-century museum covering 1,200 m², where young and old alike can share in an interactive, fun experience.

At the heart of ceramics, visitors will be able to (re)discover some of the most eagerly-awaited works by ceramics enthusiasts! Stoneware, fine earthenware, porcelain and common pottery take on a new dimension. The EMA also features works by local and international contemporary ceramists.

Au cœur de la préhistoire (At the heart of prehistory) exhibits the finest pieces discovered during the excavations of the Scladina cave since 1978, and presents the tools needed to understand the behaviour of Neanderthal man. Unique in Belgium, the jawbone of the Sclayn Child, the oldest dated Neanderthal fossil, is on display in a permanent collection.
