From Saturday 27 April until 11 November, explore the best-kept secrets of the famous medieval town with the Bouillon City Pass+!
Visit one of Belgium's largest fortified castles and embark on a journey through over 1,000 years of history! Standing on three rocky outcrops overlooking the Semois and the town, Bouillon Castle, with its maze of corridors and huge vaulted rooms, is considered to be the oldest and most interesting vestige of feudalism in Belgium. With your Bouillon City Pass+, you can also take in the impressive falconry show in the castle's main courtyard.
Add to your discoveries with a visit to the Ducal Museum.
On the programme: discover Bouillon's thousand-year-old past thanks to varied and attractive collections. The Middle Ages, celebrated through a wide range of artistic expressions, rub shoulders with Bouillon's Age of Enlightenment, whose brilliant history of printing made the ducal town known to the four corners of the Old Continent. With your Bouillon City Pass+, you can also enter the former convent of the Sépulcrines to discover the Bouillon Medieval Experience, a brand new immersive attraction that takes you back to the 11th century using the latest audiovisual technologies and brings to life before your very eyes the great epic of the Crusades.
You'll walk in the footsteps of a knight and his squire on their way to Jerusalem, learning all about this little-known and captivating Middle Ages.
To round off your day, wait for nightfall at the majestic Château de Bouillon, where history and technology come together to create a unique show: the Odyssey of Light! Explore the fascinating history of this medieval bastion through an immersive 180° mapping show in the courtyard of the castle. And every evening, visitors will be invited to take an illuminated tour of the town, discovering the different sites illuminated in a spectacular and original way. A breathtaking sensory experience!

Plongez dans l'ambiance funeste du Château fort de Bouillon et pénétrez dans ses entrailles pour fêter Halloween.
Trois soirées Halloween inédites
Le Château de Bouillon sera envahi par des zombies et autres créatures terrifiantes lors de ces soirées inédites.
Plongé dans l'obscurité la plus totale, vous explorez par petit groupe les étroits couloirs du château en tentant d'éviter les pièges tendus par ses résidents.
Les premières représentations seront exclusivement réservées aux plus jeunes (de 6 à 12 ans) accompagnés de leurs parents, dont les plus courageux seront récompensés par une petite surprise en fin de visite.

À quoi s'attendre ?
La Ville de Bouillon, riche de son histoire millénaire et de ses nombreux sites emblématiques, dont le célèbre Château de Godefroid de Bouillon, vous offre une expérience unique en Wallonie !
La nuit tombée, baladez-vous à votre rythme, découvrez ou redécouvrez la Ville sous son manteau de lumière. 5 sites emblématiques se métamorphosent sous vos yeux, pour votre plus grand plaisir :
- le Pont de Cordemois
- le Passage (jardin situé à l'arrière du musée)
- les petits escaliers
- le Parc des Sépulcrines
- le Musée Ducal.
Sous réservation dès le 27 avril, le spectacle son et lumière dans la cour du Château fort offre quant à lui un vrai spectacle grandeur nature à 180°, une immersion totale dans l'Histoire du Château afin de connaître enfin tous ses secrets.

Saviez-vous que l'ambiance du Château de Bouillon change à la nuit tombée ? Accompagné d'un guide vêtu comme au Moyen-âge, le château-fort et son histoire se révèlent au fil de cette visite à la lueur des flambeaux.
La visite nocturne est possible à différents moments de l'année :
- soit à l'occasion de la Saint-Valentin
- soit pendant les périodes de congés scolaires (vacances de Carnaval, vacances de printemps, vacances d'été, vacances d'automne et vacances d'hiver).
Un bond de 1 000 ans dans le passé
Accompagné d'un guide habillé comme au Moyen Âge, vous découvrirez le Château fort de Bouillon à la lumière des flambeaux.
Muni de votre torche, vous parcourrez les souterrains et couloirs du château en passant par les pièces les plus importantes.
Vous terminerez la visite par la Tour d'Autriche, du haut de laquelle vous apercevrez une magnifique vue à 360° sur la ville de Bouillon.

- S'inscrire obligatoirement auprès du Syndicat d'Initiative de Bouillon (maximum 20 personnes par guide et par langue)
- Se présenter à l'entrée du Château 15 minutes avant la visite
- Prévoir des vêtements chauds, notamment pour les souterrains
- Les organisateurs se réservent le droit d'annuler la visite en fonction des conditions climatiques ou par manque de participants.
Vivez une soirée hors du temps au Château Fort de Bouillon !
For this 30th edition, dive into the Middle Ages, enjoy a change of pace and a trip through time! In the heart of Bouillon from 08 to 09/08/15!
Discover medieval crafts, food, entertainment, hunting and weaponry, and of course music!
Camps and a parade
During the two-day festival visitors will discover around 20 Middle Aged historical camps at the foot of the castle.
The theme will focus on the whole Middle Ages period (5th and 15th century).
Several artisans (blacksmiths, iron founders, potters, bakers...) will exhibit their know-how among the camps present.
Programme
You will also have the chance to have a go at using a crossbow and attending a combat re-enactments. A colourful parade will begin at 3:30pm to the sound of minstrels, accompanied by knights, men-at-arms, Vikings...
During this time, the fortified castle and its surroundings will become the theatre to numerous shows and activities: 2 medieval camps, artisan work, medieval troops and a mix of fighters and falconers (show at 11am, 2pm, 3:30pm and 7pm).
The festival will be in full swing at the castle by the evening. Come and join in the festivities at the Medieval Festival! Taste various dishes (no reservation necessary) in a festive atmosphere, just like they did in the Middle Ages.
After your meal, come and attend an hour-long concert that will preceed the fireworks display. Your children will certainly not be forgotten at this festival, as they will be able to be dubbed knights on the Esplanade de l'Archéoscope, as well as getting the chance to visit a medieval farmyard. And, not forgetting the mini tour along the Semois river on a pony.
