Through "Meetjesland" by steam train.

The Steam Centre Maldegem has the largest collection of steam locomotives in Northern Belgium. Three of these engines are in use on the museum track Maldegem-Eeklo or on the narrow gauge to Donk. At the depot you can get acquainted with all aspects of the steam age (locomotives, engines, a fire engine, a portable engine and a live steam model railway). Rediscover how people used to travel on wooden seats or in luxurious first class carriages, lined with cushioned seats! "De Statie" is a cosy cafeteria at the old railway station.
