Entry to the child-friendly Bovy Estate (34 ha) is free and among other things, it has signposted rambling trails, a hiking path, a pasture path, the “Cosmogolem“, a play area and catering facilities. There is a service station for mobile homes on the spacious free car park.

Let yourself be pleasantly surprised by the multi-faceted surroundings of “De Wijers”, the region of 1001 ponds, and discover the most beautiful places on foot, by bike or by electric car. The untouched nature reserves in “ De Wijers” are unique. The newly restored Cloister of Bolderberg in the middle of the nature park is amazing. Quietly follow one of the many signposted nature trails or culture trails.

Do you need something a bit faster? Then you’re just right for the Zolder racing track. The Zolder Estate Circuit event is one of the top attractions in De Wijers. Fans of motor sport, BMX off-roaders and racing cyclists can overexert themselves here to their heart’s content. The multitude of events at the Zolder racing track and also in the community nearby provide for numerous visits.

Get to know about the buzzing life around the coal-mines and visit the multi-cultural markets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. Immerse yourself in the history of coal-mining and enjoy the magnificent view from the slag heap. Signposted themed trails lead you through hidden pearls.
