The De Wissen Meuse Centre on the banks of the Old Meuse is the starting point for a surprising discovery of the Meuse region.
With its interactive information stand and a splendid film about the Meuse, the Meuse exhibition gives an inspiring picture of the river that makes the Meuse a unique region. In our wicker-work museum you can see that Stokkem was once the centre for this amazing handicraft.
From April to October you can catch a “whispering boat” and discover the unique flora and fauna of the Old Meuse, an outing on the water combined with a walk in the Kerkeweerd nature park.
