Castle of Bouillon with its "Ballet of the birds of prey"
You can visit the Castle, which is one of the most impressive remains of feudalism in Europe and the oldest feudal vestige in Belgium. Its origins go back to the 8th century. It is a key example of medieval architecture and is famous for the 1st crusade, led by Godefroid of Bouillon.The Castle was used for military purposes until 1830. Included in the visit : Falconry show and permanent educational exhibition about falconry from March 1st to November 11th plus all weekends and Bank Holidays throughout the year and during the Christmas and Carnival holidays - at 11.30, 14.00, 15.30 (17.00 in July and August and on WE from 01/04 until 30/09) Also included : permanent exhibition ‘Scriptura, from Pen to PC', from the Middel Ages until the twentieth century.
