The church of the beguinage in Sint-Truiden is probably the oldest and most beautiful church of all Flemish beguinages. The church is known for its remarkable wall paintings, the most important collection in Belgium. The 38 wall and pillar paintings form a varied whole, dating from the end of the thirteenth till the beginning of the seventeenth century.
