Diamond Museum Bruges
Diamond Museum Bruges
Diamond polishing - it all began in Bruges more than 500 years ago...

Discover how diamond polishing was developed in Bruges, by the goldsmith Lodewijk van Berquen, during the rich period of the dukes of Burgundy, long before Antwerp.
Learn the noble art of diamond cutting: cleaving, sawing, cutting and polishing.
In our Diamond Lab, young and old can discover the unique characteristics of diamond “hands-on”.
Our 'treasure chamber' contains some of the world’s most beautiful diamonds as well as a precious collection of old Flemish jewellery.
The exhibition:”A Brilliant Story" tells you the history of the Flemish and Bruges polishers. "Di-Amour" uncovers the eternal link between love and diamonds.
Daily polishing demonstration at 12h15 (groups on appointment).
The diamond museum is situated in the centre of Bruges, not far from the Begijnhof and the railway station.
